“I Do” Orcutt Ranch Wedding Reception

We made it! Drew and I said ‘I DO’ and celebrated our new Mr & Mrs status with a party at our Orcutt Ranch Wedding Reception. Our wedding ceremony was beautiful and emotional. We were surrounded by friends and family and of course nature which is exactly what we wanted.

Wedding Reception Bliss…

After the ceremony, all the nerves were gone and it was time to party! The celebration of love continued at our wedding reception that also took place in Orcutt Ranch. We had a perfect first dance, amazing speeches by our guests of honor, a delicious wedding cake, and a special performance by Drew Anthuny himself. (cue the tears)

The Magic of Orcutt Ranch

Drew and I visited about 10 wedding venues when we were looking but none of them seem quite right.

However the moment we walked into Orcutt Ranch we fell in love and instantly knew that this was the place we wanted to get married.

It had the perfect outdoor ceremony and reception space with lots of natural beauty, trees, and greenery surrounding every bit of us.

Seriously, A Sweet Design has the best chocolate fudge wedding cake ever!!

Fun Fact about our wedding venue. For those who saw and loved La La Land as much as we did. The final fantasy montage of Mia’s new home was filmed here in Orcutt Ranch. (insert jaw dropped emoji..lol) Seriously how cool? We didn’t know until after we booked the venue, so we totally geeked out over it.

Laughter is the best medicine. So cheers to making each other laugh until forever.

This was absolutely one of my favorite moments. Just thinking about it right now makes me all teary-eyed.

Drew wrote a song about how we first met. And it’s the sweetest and most romantic gift I’ve ever received.

It was one of those moments when the whole world disappeared and it was just me and him. By the end of the song, we were both in tears. And when the world reappeared again I noticed that everyone else was in tears too.

“though I only met you once, I don’t even know your name but something tells me we’re supposed to be…”

The song is called ‘Came Here For’ and I can’t wait for you guys to hear it. It’s seriously such a beautiful song! And Drew is releasing it as part of his new EP ‘Color Saint Ocean’ available later this month.

One of my favorite things to do with Drew is dancing. Unfortunately, we don’t get to do it very often.

So when it came to our wedding reception we knew we wanted to create the space and time for a lot of dancing. So I’m happy that everyone had a great time getting down to the sounds of DJ-Lenny G.

Even though our wedding took place during the day. On the first day of daylight savings time (meaning the sun started to go down around 4 pm.) We all had so much fun and danced the day away.

Thank you to all our friends and family for making this day super special for us. This wedding wouldn’t have been the same without each and every one of you. Rest assured the memories created will last a lifetime. Drew and I love you all so much!
