Celebrating “Tell a Fairy Tale Day”
Hi guys,
I’m so excited for this Sunday, February 26 because it’s National “Tell A Fairytale Day” so I want to take the opportunity to tell you guys my favorite fairytale of all times. And I should probably preface this with a quote that says “Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favorite.” With that being said I think you guys can figure out which fairytale is my favorite…lol. So, let’s call this one My Road To Ever After 😉
So, I had to go back on Instagram to find this picture/quote I posted on the evening of Nov 22, 2014, just two days after my first date with Drew.
I felt so inspired after our first date. I just knew that he was going to be someone special in my life. And I was hoping that it was the beginning of my fairy tale and as it turns out, it was.
My Road To Ever After aka My Road TEA
Once upon a time, a city girl from Boston named Yaritza was living in LA LA land for 5⅟₂ years. She had dreams of one day reaching the stars and in the process meeting her Prince Charming. One gloomy afternoon a charming young man by the name of Drew walked into the restaurant she was working at, flashed her a smile and brightened her entire day. He soon departed and without even knowing his name she wondered if he will ever cross her path again.
Several months later on a sunny afternoon in Carson, CA during the Reebok Cross Fit Games she quickly caught a glimpse of him as he walked by. She remembered him as “that guy” she once saw. Unbeknown to her, he had also caught a glimpse of her that day. Failing to make eye contact they both thought they were never to see each other again.
But destiny had other plans for them.
A couple of months later through a mutual friend, the charming young man saw a picture of her on social media. And as the saying goes “third time’s a charm!” So Drew decided to send her a direct message. After a month of messaging back and forth, they finally went on their very first date.
They came together in a quaint coffee shop and exchanged stories, laughter, smiles and glances. After coffee they went for a walk, they sang to each other and danced under the cloudy night. When the evening came to an end they said goodnight and headed their separate ways. In that moment she knew it was the beginning of her “happily-ever-after.”
We believe destiny had its hand in bringing us together and we couldn’t be more grateful. We know that the “happily-ever-after” is a journey and not a destination so we are constantly working on making sure our relationship continues to grow.
If you are still reading you rock! I’m so excited I got to share my fairy tale. Now I would love it if you share your favorite fairy tale with me. Comment below and tell me your story or name your favorite Disney movie or novel.
Now remember Sunday, Feb 26, is “Tell A Fairy Tale Day” so join in the fun by sharing fairy tales with each other. 😉
Love always,
Yaritza
