Fall Apple Picking Adventure + Fun Vlog
We are in the midst of Fall and this season’s favorite activities include apple picking, pumpkin patches, corn mazes and plaid shirts. haha
Drew and I wanted to go apple picking and we decided that this outing was going to be a fun-filled family adventure so you’ll see some of our lovely family members sprinkled around our pictures and video below. I haven’t been apple picking in a really long time probably since I was a kid and I’ve never done it here in California. So this was my first time visiting Rileys at Los Rios Rancho.
Los Rios Rancho is operated by the Riley family and it’s located in Oak Glen about 90 miles from Los Angeles. They are open all year round although apple season is known to officially begin on Labor day and end on Thanksgiving weekend. So if you were thinking of going on your own apple picking adventure you still have a few weeks left till thanksgiving rolls around. So what are you waiting for? And when you go, remember to pick all the fresh apples you’ll need to bake those thanksgiving apple pies.
Speaking of apple pies they have some amazingly delicious apple pies at Oak Tree Village which is a short drive from Los Rios Rancho. If you are anywhere near Oak Glen I definitely recommend stopping by Oak Tree Village after your apple picking adventure for lunch or maybe just for some a la mode apple pie at Annie’s Restaurant & Bakery.
I really loved this adventure for so many reasons. One I was with my love, two I was with family and three I reconnected to the simple pleasures of life. Oak Glen, Los Rios Rancho, and Oak Tree Village are so beautiful. It’s just a little country town filled with fresh produce, nice people, and clean air. Now that I know they’re open all year-round we might just take some day trips whenever we want a breather from the city. Of course, I will still recommend checking their website which I linked above for more info on their seasonal activities. I also took a lot of footage on this trip and created a video check it out below.
Ps. I also took a lot of footage on this trip and created a video, so don’t forget to scroll all the way down to see it.
