Couples Valentine’s Day Inspiration
Hello TEA Birds,
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I’m so excited because I love holidays. Drew and I don’t really get carried away with Valentine’s Day, we don’t do huge gestures because we try to shower each other with love every day. However, we are not against Valentine’s Day and we actually enjoy seeing the seasonal aisles in stores filled with red and pink hearts. And as long as the grand gestures of love all around the world are genuine then I’m all for it.
Drew and I believe that love and affection should be given freely to those you love on a daily basis. And that is also one of the main reason why we love Valentine’s Day because it reminds people of the beauty of love, it reinstates hope in the happily-ever-after fairytale and it serves as a reminder that you should shower the people you care about with love every day.
So in the spirit of keeping it simple and not getting carried away, we thought we’d share some of the things we like to do in celebration of Valentine’s Day ideas.
We love movies so spending a quiet evening at home watching some romantic comedies with a bottle of wine sounds perfect to us. So here are some of our top picks for the night
Romantic Movies Available on Netflix
Romantic Movies Available on Redbox
The ones below are also on our top list but I didn’t see them available on Redbox or Netflix so if you have another streaming service maybe you can see one of these.
Aside from having a “Netflix and Chill” kind of night, exchanging handwritten letters is extremely romantic. Drew and I love doing this and we do it for birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries basically any occasion in which we truly want to express our love and gratitude for one another. We like exchanging cute text messages just as much as any other millennial but when it comes to special occasions we love the handwritten kind.
Origami Heart Shaped Envelope
Drew recently wrote me a letter and handed it to me in the Heart Shaped Origami Envelope you see above and I thought it was the cutest so I decided to include the instructions here. In case you feel inspired to write a letter to your loved one and stuff it in one these cute little envelopes.
Romantic Valentine’s Day Started Kit
All you need in my opinion is a hand written letter, some chocolate, scented candles, a bottle of wine, and a good movie.
