Celebrating Birthday #32 in Santa Barbara, CA
How is everyone doing? I am great, thanks for asking! It has been quite some time but let’s catch up on life because I recently celebrated my 32nd birthday a few weeks ago. Yay me, I just got a year older and a lot closer to mid-30s. Actually, it’s really funny because I kept telling people I was turning 33, for some reason I was confused about my own age. yikes! For future reference, if I ever get confused about my age I hope I lower the number instead of adding them on.

Connecting to the World via Portals
Imagine walking into a giant Gold Shipping container and being transported to a different part of the world. Sounds cool right? Well that’s exactly what the Portals Project is all about. It’s an immersive experience walking into a gold shipping container and instantly being connected to someone who’s located in another country. Drew and I got to participate in this experience last week and it was amazing. We connected with individuals our own age in Gaza City, Palestine. Drew and I didn’t know what to expect so we just went in with an open mind. We were both super excited and a little nervous.

One of the best things about the holiday season, leading up to Christmas are the lights, music, decorations, and just general cheerfulness from everyone around. I did a lot of my Christmas shopping early this year, so this past Sunday I was able to enjoy a nice day at Six Flas Magic Mountain for their Holiday in the Park celebration.

Sightseeing and history lessons are always my favorite part about traveling. So when I found out we were going to Phoenix, Arizona I was excited because I’d never visited before.
