24 hours in Joshua Tree

Do you feel like you need at least 2 or 3 days off to go on a mini-vacation or staycation? Well, I’m here to tell you, that all you need for a relaxing staycation/ recharge is 24 hours.

Drew and I recently spent 24 hours in Joshua Tree and I kid you not by the time we got back I felt like we were gone for the entire weekend. And I just realized this but this is not the first time we do a 24 hour adventure. Last year we spent 24 hours in Newport Beach and that was super fun.

I’m really starting to like this idea of exploring a nearby city for 24 hours. Do you guys think we should make it into a series? Called… 24-hour adventures? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below. 🙂

Joshua Tree, CA

So let me share with you guys our latest adventure 24 Hours in Joshua Tree! If you are unfamiliar let me start by saying Joshua Tree is a beautiful desert city located about 2 & a half hours outside of Los Angeles, CA. And of course, the most notable part of Joshua Tree? Joshua Tree National Park!

Our friends rented an Airbnb for a few days but we just crashed for one night. The Airbnb in case you want to look it up is the Lost House and it’s a very cute industrial looking home with an outdoor jacuzzi.

Our 24-Hour Itinerary in Joshua Tree

Tuesday

Drew and I left Los Angeles Tuesday night after we both got out of work. Driving at night is perfect because there’s less traffic. The first thing we noticed when we arrived at our Airbnb was the beautiful night sky. The skies are clear and the stars are shining brightly. So definitely take the time to wish upon a star. 😉

Once we caught up with our friends we went straight to bed so we could get up early and start exploring.

Wednesday

We woke up early, prepared breakfast at the Airbnb, showered and got ready for the day.

Joshua Tree Coffee Company –

But first coffee! I personally don’t drink coffee but I know most of the population does, lol. So we stopped by Joshua Tree Coffee Company for those in our group who needed a caffeine fix. It’s a very cute, organic, and locally sourced coffee shop so I would definitely recommend it. They have other stuff besides coffee as well so I picked up a ginger beer and a vegan cookie which was pretty good.

Cactus Mart

After coffee, we headed to the Cactus Mart which has an amazing selection of cacti, succulents, and native plants. (If you are into that kind of thing. If not, on the same street as the coffee house you can find plenty of vintage and cute specialty shops that I’m sure you’ll have fun exploring.)

Sound Bath –

The Integratron is a unique 38-feet high all wooden dome structure created in 1959. It’s about 18 miles north of Joshua Tree but it’s perfect if you are looking for a unique, relaxing, meditation-like experience. Plus the outdoor area provides plenty of photo-Ops.

Natural Sisters Cafe

After our sound bath, we were all hungry and craving healthy eats so we headed to Natural Sisters Cafe. Where Drew and I shared an Avocado Quinoa Burger that was surprisingly delicious. (we don’t usually go for healthy burgers lol) The smoothie thou was so yummy and filling we ordered one called Monkey Business made with Banana, chocolate, almond milk, and organic peanut butter. Wow! so freaking delicious!

After that long filled adventure, it was Jacuzzi time! We headed back to our Airbnb put on our bathing suits and relaxed in the jacuzzi while stargazing. After we were done we showered and headed back to the city of Angels.

So there you have guys 24 Hours in Joshua Tree. If you have any questions or comments please leave them below. Let me know what you think of 24-hour adventures are they worth it? And don’t forget to check out our other 24-hour adventure in Newport Beach here.
