A Romantic Day in Los Angeles for our 2-year Wedding Anniversary
Los Angeles is our home. I have lived here for 11 years and my husband Drew was born and raised in Southern California. Yet we are always discovering new places to explore and find new ways to have a romantic day in Los Angeles.
Drew and I got married on November 4, 2018. This means we recently celebrated our second year wedding anniversary. If you are new around here and want to read all about our magical day and how we said I Do in Orcutt Ranch click here.
We have been staying local a lot lately mainly because of Covid. Lucky for us Los Angeles is filled with plenty of adventures. So I wanted to share with you guys this fun romantic day we had and hopefully give you some ideas for your next Los Angeles Date Night.
First Stop Brunch Of Course!
I wanted to go somewhere new so I did some research and found the cutest place with delicious brunch fare called Lady Bird Cafe.
Lady Bird Cafe transformed their parking lot into an Oasis of lush greenery and individual Greenhouses so guests can feel safe. I mean just look at the photos.
Swan Boats
A short five-minute drive from Lady Bird Cafe is Echo Park Lake where you can go for a walk, or take a swan boat out for a ride. Which is what we did and it was so peaceful and fun. Tip! it does get really hot in the middle of the day so I would suggest going early or at sunset. For swan boat rental click here.
Picnic at the Park
After swan boats, we went to our local grocery store and picked up some drinks and snacks. At home, we picked up a blanket and some cups and headed to our local park. If you’re not from LA I would still recommend a picnic at the park. There are so many cute ones here’s a small list.
- Griffith Park
- The Old Zoo at Griffith Park
- Grand Park
- Exposition Park Rose Garden
- Los Angeles State Historic Park
Dinner
Outdoor dining options are abundant in Los Angeles. So for dinner, we visited MA’s Italian Kitchen in Burbank. But I thought their outdoor patio was so cute. It’s a little cramped so they can’t keep the tables 6 feet apart but they do have plexiglass dividers in between tables so I still felt safe.
