As I approach the end of another year around the sun, I want to focus on the beginning of something new.
As cliché as it sounds birthdays, New Years’ and anniversaries have a way of making you reminisce on the past. What you have and haven’t accomplished. And that’s not always a good thing depending on how you look at things.
(more…)It’s been a while since my last guest post, but it is I, Yaritza’s “Instagram fiance”…Drew. I was asked to do this guest post because I recently reached a new milestone in my life. One that many take for granted and others don’t get the gift to see. On Sunday, January 14th, I turned 30 years old. That morning I took a deep breath and smelled Capricorn season in the air, lol. But in all seriousness, I woke up and took a moment to be present and reflect on my life.
This past Saturday, we celebrated Drew’s birthday by spending 24 hours in Newport Beach, California. Drew and I love going on adventures and experiencing new things together. So it’s become sort of a tradition to take each other on adventures for our birthdays. This year I planned a romantic 24-hour adventure in the beautiful city of Newport Beach, California.

I feel blessed to be celebrating another year of life. When birthdays come around I take the opportunity to reflect on my life’s journey and more specifically the recent year.
